Why Bamboo

Bamboo is part of the Poaceae grass family. Bamboo fabric is a natural textile made from the pulp of the bamboo grass. Bamboo is considered one of the most sustainable plants because it grows quickly and does not require chemicals or irrigation; and biodegrades more quickly than oil-based synthetics.

First, the bamboo stalks steep in a solution to help break down their structure and make them pliable. The bamboo pulp will be shredded, aged, and ripened before being filtered, washed, and spun. Once it has been spun, the threads can be woven to create a fabric – bamboo viscose.
